We are proud to announce that Attorney Dan Heller has rejoined the McCauley Law Offices team! With his return, we are also thrilled to share that McCauley Law is expanding our offices to Maryland to better serve individuals and businesses facing IRS and state tax issues.

About Dan:

Daniel S. Heller is an attorney at McCauley Law Office, where he represents clients in high-stakes disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). His practice covers a broad range of tax matters, including criminal tax defense, audits, collections, penalty relief, tax lien issues, and both civil and criminal tax litigation.

Daniel started his career at McCauley Law Office, where he gained extensive experience in representing individuals and businesses facing federal and state tax challenges.  He then spent over ten years at a law firm in Maryland, where his practice focused on civil and criminal tax representation before returning to McCauley Law Office.

Daniel is deeply committed to public service. In 2023, he was honored with the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) Tax Section’s Schiff Pro Bono Award for his exceptional volunteer tax work. He remains actively involved with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS), serving as a longtime presenter at the MVLS Tax Controversy Training.

He is a member of both the American Bar Association and the MSBA, where he currently serves as an At-Large Member of the Tax Section Council.

Daniel earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. During law school, he interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and clerked for the Honorable Rayford A. Means. He was also a member of the Widener Law Review.  To further deepen his expertise, Daniel earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2015.
